NRG's Consultancy & Services (C&S) division offers various technical services for safety and security of nuclear installations, radiation protection, waste management and decommissioning, and provides services to a broad range of customers, both domestically and abroad. The C&S team Decommissioning, Waste management & Disposal (DWD) provides consultancy and project management services regarding radiation protection, radioactive waste management, decommissioning and dismantling of nuclear or otherwise radioactive contaminated installations, as well as radiological characterization services. The DWD team is a multidisciplinary team with broad experience in a wide range of innovative projects. As a growing team, DWD offers its services also increasingly abroad, with priority on the German market.
Challenges in policy supporting DWD projects in the areas of radiation protection, nuclear techniques, and processing and management of radioactive waste, are working in a politically-administrative environment and developing practically feasible policy advices in the field of radiation protection in compliance with laws and regulations, both nationally and internationally. Consultant Radiation Protection Policy Support (m/f)

Your tasks and responsibilities

-Conducting and reporting policy-supporting studies in the area of radiation protection, nuclear technology, as well as processing and management of radioactive waste.
-Knowledge maintenance and evaluation of (inter)national laws and regulations in the area of radiation protection and nuclear technology.
-Representing NRG-C&S at seminars, congresses and conferences.
-Consultancy reports to the client, competent authorities and other stakeholders.
-Building and maintaining an (international) relationship network.
-Project implementation or management within given budget and time.
-Regularly reporting on project progress / status to the client and the project team, making planning adjustments when necessary.

Your profile

-You've got a technical university degree, e.g. Process Technology, Environmental and Geosciences, Chemistry or (Technical) Physics.
-You're experienced with reporting policy support studies at e.g. (semi-) government, process industry or engineering company, in the field of environmental issues and / or safety.
-You've got minimal 5 years work experience in a field relevant for this vacancy. -Work experience at the frontier research / policy is a pre.
-You're flexible, solution-oriented and focused on practical applicability.
-Your oral and written communication is good, both in English and Dutch. -Proficiency in further foreign languages is a pre.
-You're a skilled Coordinating Radiation Expert (formerly level 3) or able to acquire this level in the short term.
-You're result oriented, intrinsically motivated, quality and cost-conscious and a real team player.
